GUYS I GOT A FISH!!!! His name is Magnus Bane Jr., after my previous fish who was named after Magnus Bane from Mortal Instruments. So I got a fish for my birthday a few months ago from my aunt, and I was super hyped because I hadn't had a pet(except plants) since I was 8 when I had my beloved beta fish Sir-Swims-A-Lot, who died. So when my aunt gave him to me, I was ecstatic. ANYWAYS, he died the day after we got him. So my father and I did research to find out what we could do to get a new fish and elongate its life. We ended up testing the water before we put in the fish and getting a heater because it turns out we probably froze the other fish. We decided to not tell my aunt so she didn't feel bad. So when we're with other people, the "jr." is silent. So after 3 trips to the pet store this week, we finally got him! He's doing pretty well I think. Fish pronouns: It's a male, so he/him or they/them. @Starfox74 is his cool aunt. Anyways, here's pictures. 1. Here's him in his bag. We were floating him so he got used to the water. 2. Here's him right after we let him in the tank. He was hiding behind the plants at first. You can really see his colors here. 3. He finally came out into the open, where you can really see his colors. 4. This is a very blurry photo, but this was him during feeding. The little orange thing is a pellet. 5. He also sat in his beta fish hammock which was cool. 6. A moment of remembrance for the original Magnus Bane. This is the best photo I have of him because he didn't live very long.
