*Press space for next step* Step 1: Sketch. The sketch does not need to look perfect. When I sketch out a drawing I start with a circle for the head. Then I build off of it by making the snout and ears. Then I add the body and other details. Step 2: Lineart. When I do lineart I go over the sketch. I make changes to the body if needed. Step 3: Color. I start with only one area with a color that fits the lineart. then I choose other colors that fit well with the first color for the rest. Step 4: Details. I do shading, lighting, AND THINGS I forgot in the lineart/coloring. Step 5: Background. I try to make a background that fits with the drawing. I usually do not outline the background because it looks prettier in my opinion without it. Step 6. Done! Enjoy your new artwork!
