❝ watch the sun swallow up the world ❞ { better quality here: https://toyhou.se/~images/28879620 } I honestly enjoyed this so much; most fun I've had on a drawing since I can remember ^w^ I know a tON of people are gonna do emotionally moving pieces with muted colors and a sad story. Not saying that it’s a bad thing, just saying it’s really nOT my forte xD I actually find that the most funny, weird, or unique songs are the ones that cheer me up from a hard spot- not necessarily songs about broken hearts or dead love mm- so enjoy this peer into my regular thinking day-to-day. ——- unfortunately when I was working on the bg; I set off a color change system I was unaware of. It literally ruined the whole peice (the colors were muted and greenish). ew. Soooo I had to let it rest for a while- but eventually I figured out how to set it back and here we are lol. -- This piece is inspired by the song "Endless Summer" by Absofacto and “there’s something happening” by Jack Stauber;; but also the colors are partly inspired by the Mario Cart Theme remix (also included inside, plays after TSH) whenever I think of endless, I seem to think of falling; and honestly summer reminds me of being a young kid; Legos, bright colors, Ice cream bars, video games, clear shapes- the list goes on. I tried to take inspo from many of these things- especially the character choices. Kiwi is a bright, fun, & sassy 9 yr old trapped in a 15 yr old body lol. Nora is a super energetic ball of fun covered in pins and buttons. Telari is a happy-go-lucky elf from another planet; one which she was partly responsible for destroying. Her careless and flighty attitude is just to cover up the guilt and sadness she felt over what she was responsible for. All in all I’m pretty happy with this. Hope you are too lol. ✧✧✧✧✧ Ⅰ . art - me (@cosmickiwi) Ⅱ . music - Endless Summer by Absofacto, There’s Something Happening by Jack Stauber & Mario Cart Theme remix Ⅲ . contest host - the lovely @geijutsu Ⅳ . zoom code - @colorsnatch Ⅴ . characters - Kiwi (left), Telari (mid), & Nora (right) Ⅵ . program used - adobe photoshop Ⅶ . time taken - 2 days
