This is an unofficial estimate, so stop saying that this isn't correct Hurricane Dorian was a very powerful and deadly hurricane. It started off as a Tropical Storm as it moved through the Lesser Antilles. The storm then hit the Virgin Islands as a Minimal Hurricane. With no land to stop it and very favorable conditions, the storm intensified to not only a category 5 but to winds of 190 MPH. The storm made landfall in the Northernmost Bahamas with winds of 185 MPH, tying it with the great labor day hurricane as the strongest landfall in the Atlantic basin. Dorian then did the unimaginable: The storm stalled over Grand Bahama for 48 hours with very little weakening. The storm then went through an eyewall replacement cycle and weakened considerably as it moved north, parallel to the US coastline. The storm made a brief landfall in Cape Hatteras, NC, as a category 1 with winds of 90 MPH. The storm then strengthened back into a category 2 with winds of 100 MPH as it turned extratropical. Dorian then made landfall as a category 1-equivilant extratropical storm in Nova Scotia, causing considerable damage. Music: Force 13-Elevations - #Hurricane #HurricaneDorian #Dorian
