Instructions

Copy and paste the link into your search bar and once it loads press the present button PLEASE do not change anything on the slide! Enjoy! If you don't want to search up the link go here: Step one: the head It's very important to have a good head/face sculpt. This helps you add personality to your Transformer or other sprite. It's good to start from top to bottom, i find that this helps the head stay proportional to the rest of the body. Also i recommend using a search website to look up head sculpts for reference, especially if your animating an already existing character. Make sure to take each detail and break it down step by step for the best results. It's best to use shapes instead of drawings. Step two: Body Create the torso is what i do first, then i make the limbs, then copy and paste it, then flip vertically an i got 2 limbs ready. I find it helpful to group stuff as much as possible to make it easier to move stuff around. Then make the kibble and extra vehicle parts, layer them correctly(SUPER IMPORTANT) and then your done. Make sure that your character is proportionate and all the limbs are well placed so you don't look all wonky and out of place(unless that's what you where going for). Step three: Animating Now this is where things get tricky. With animating you have to take your sprite and change it costume by costume. Now i know you guys know that but to get the best results you want as amny costumes as posible. The more the better. So start off with the robot mode, the i would work my way to vehical mode from there. Everything must have a specific place and you must only move it a little bit each costume. This will make the animation look smooth and fluid. Take the eample to the right, Mini-Cropper here is made up of a total of 45 frames!!! Where as my Dropkick animation is made up of 64 frames! Step four: coding Alright, we have done the transformation, now to the codeing. This is the easy part. When you want to go through the costumes fast just pull of the "repeat # of times” block and then put the "next costume” block inside and your animation should go REALLY fast. If it is to fast the just do the same thing but put a "wait 0 second block above the "next costume” block. Code these to trigger when you press a certain key or sprite on the screen More ways to code: see slide for more info Thumbnail: To make a cool thumbnail i would put your project in both modes on the cover with their name on it, but you can do what ever you want. Just make sure that you save it with the thumbnail on the screen. Video example: see slide for more info
