Remix/Repost if the LGBTQ+ community is welcome or safe on your account!!! (Remember that this is not required! Please don't feel pressured to remix this project. This is just for fun and spreading awareness.) Credit: [unknown user] on DeviantArt

Description

PSA(?): Hey, I saw a bunch of remixes of this project with #Everyone matters and I'm pretty sure, most of these remixers aren't aware of this issue so I wanted to inform them or anyone else about it. #Everyone matters may not be a form of supporting the All Lives Matter (ALM) movement but I did see a comment telling one of the people to change the LGBTQ+ flag to something only All Lives Matter related. Reason why ALM is considered bad to many advocates: All Lives Matter is a controversial topic and yes, every life should be cherished but All Lives Matter is a movement originally made to distract from the struggles and hardships of the Black community. (Better explanation here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/407901938/ ) Reminder: LGBTQ+ isn’t a community only for gay/lesbian people. There are also nonbinary, genderqueer, gender fluid people, transgender, and other genders! Also, Asexuals/Aromantics and people on the ace/aro spectrum are part of the LGBTQ+ community as well. Don’t forget about them! The "+" also is not written out for the Straight Allies. The "+" is for people whose gender identity and/or sexuality isn't listed in the acronym. L = Lesbian. G = Gay. B = Bi. T = Transgender. Q = Queer. + = Any other queer gender or sexuality not listed. And another reminder is to not dismiss or invalidate any genders or sexualities that you do not understand or believe to be "non-existent". Most people do truly feel that they are what they identify as and invalidating/dismissing their identity just makes them feel worse than they probably already do. Think about it like this: It probably feels the same to them as it is to you when someone else invalidates/dismisses you. Updates (I don't write these anymore, enjoy my past cringey self-): December 9, 2020 - 100+ remixes?! (according to https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/452247761/remixtree/) And 29 remixes on this project?! WOW! Thank you so much for spreading the chain, guys! December 10, 2020 - AH! There's 40 views! Woah! December 14, 2020 - tHiRtY tWo rEmiXeS! AHHHHH!!!! Thank you so much, guys for spreading the chain and news around on scratch!!! December 23, 2020 - *gasp* fiFtY tWo rEmiXeS!!! THE WORD HAS SPREAD AND WE SHALL RISE FROM THE ASHES!!! . . . sorry, I'm being dramatic. . . Jan. 2, 2021: O - O only 8 days later and there's 104 views + 66 remixes + 34 loves + 30 stars. Jan 3, 2021: Oops, I forgot there's no longer a zero at the end of the year. It's now 2021. Time for a fresh start! Jan 26, 2021: 121 remixes?! Thanks for spreading the news! I've gotten hate for this . - . Oh well, I'm not listening to them. Jan 27, 2021: I updated the image to something more accurate. Thanks to @27jiange for inspiration. I forgot to write three words in my sentence there but I'm pretty sure it still makes sense. October 25, 2021: I think it's safe to open comments again. Reminder: Please don't comment any hate or spread any hate on Scratch! January 13, 2022: WOOHOO! Over 400 remixes and over 1,000 views! I am only mentioning this because I feel like awareness should be celebrated. It's a new year! I hope this year is awesome! Also, for those of you who think that I'm just using the LGBTQ+ community as a clout or popularity attraction thing, that's not true. I am actually a part of the community and I want to help spread awareness. This is not an original post. The OG post is on DeviantArt somewhere or on another social media. I couldn't find them but credit to whoever created it first. April 9th, 2022 - Please don’t troll in the comments. It really isn’t cool. And if you want to debate go here instead: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/453781286/ This project is here more for the LGBTQ+ community to share support with each other, not for debating whether or not being queer is biblical or something like that. Please do not start arguments here either. Also, thanks to those of you who monitor the comments while I’m offline! Really appreciate it! ^-^ Jan. 1, 2023: Happy New Year's!! ^-^ A new year, a fresh start! Do something fun maybe or try out a new hobby! Oh, how much I've matured over the last couple of years... Geez... o _o Note- I'm still not fully mature yet. I know that ._. Feb. 28, 2025: I am now 18. Uh, probably will be in college next school year. I can't believe it's been three years. Tags: #LGBTQ+ #Pride #GoPride #QueerFreedom #GenderDysphoriaIsValid Notes: I know the old version just says "LGBT" written on it which is the outdated version of the acronym but please don't tell/ask me to tell everyone who remixed the old version to change it because there's over 600+ remixes and that would be a big pain for me and the people who remixed. I know someone asked me to do this when there was only about 200 remixes but that's still a lot and anyone who remixes this project can always add to the image like I did if they want to.
