Oh hey content finally I'm finally debunking the myths put about by the Willow Tree meme about Envy The only thing that needs to happen now is for this to be more successful than that, which is setting the bar very high since people seemed to like Envy being demonized a lot as Willow Tree got at least 1000 views, but I haven't checked it in a while so who knows where it is now :) So anyway, this is what happened. A long time ago, the Spirits devised a code that they agreed to stick to - this was called The Spirit Code (quelle surprise), and Envy was especially loyal to it. Among the rules they made was one stating that Spirits should not have children with mortals. This is because Spirit Essence is a very powerful substance that must not enter circulation with mortals lest they do bad things with their powers. Please note that this is not a ban on relationships. A Spirit could fall in love with a mortal and it would be cool, as long as they have no children. If you have children, g o o d b y e g o d j u i c e. Any Demi-Spirit children discovered would be taken up into the Spirit Realm. So, anyway, over the millenia, Envy and Willow developed a romantic relationship, and it was nice and wholesome. But then, Willow took a random frolic on Cerritulus, and met a mortal. Long story short, he fell in love with her and cheated on Envy to make some kids, namely Devon and Charlie. Ankh, who was very suspicious of Willow's frequent trips to Polito, found this out first, and Willow made him swear secrecy. Ankh agreed to this, as long as Willow would stop seeing this mortal. Willow didn't stop seeing her, so Ankh told Envy. Envy was heartbroken, angry and betrayed. He 'exiled' (since when Willow dies he would just end up in the Spirit Realm again) Willow, and then proceeded to be very sad and angry. I mean, even angrier than usual, since he's usually very angry. Devon and Charlie were certainly not helpful in their existence in the Spirit Realm, either.
