Hi there! Thanks for filling out a leader application for MTBC February. ~FAQ~ 1. What is MTBC? Movies To Books Camp (Also known as MTBC) is an online camp, where you write a story but also try to think about the movie aspect like if you book was made into a movie. MTBC runs February, June, and October. It's online so each day you could work on it for 5 hours or 5 minutes! There is also a competitive side to the camp! You can do activities that will earn your cabin points! There will be 6 cabins. The camp runs February 1st to February 28th. 2. When is my (co) leader application due? 11:59 pm EST on December 16th. 3. When will you be choosing (co) leaders? On December 17th, I will decide, and will notify all of the leaders chosen, sometime that day. They will be also posted on this project. Co leaders will be chosen by the leaders, not me, between the 18th of December and the 1st of January. 4. What are the differences between leader and co leader? Leader generally have more responsibility than the co leaders do - they are more 'in charge' of the cabin, which could potentially mean making more decisions. all leaders are promoted in the main cabin, and expected to help add points there, whereas co leaders aren't. Both co leaders and leaders add words in their cabin. 5. How do co leaders work? Each cabin needs two co leaders. As mentioned above, the chosen cabin leaders will choose their co leaders, not me. If you're only interested in getting chosen for co leader, please mention that in your application. You are not allowed to advertise your application to the chosen leaders, and I will be making sure of this. 6. What are the cabin names? ~ Thunder Cabin ~ Sea Cabin ~ War Cabin ~ Magic Cabin 7. When are camper signups out? January 1st! Comment if you want to be notified for them. 8. Why do I need to include my time zone? This is a very small factor in choosing leaders and co leaders, as we don't want all the leaders to be in one time zone! As that would make the adding of points and words more difficult. you can either say, for example AEST (australian eastern standard time) or GMT +10. 9. How will you communicate with leaders and co leaders? I will be making a discussion forum. 10. How will I know if you have seen my application? I am going to be loving all applications when I've seen them. I'll also be going through at the end though, in case you've changed something!
