I sincerely wish everyone a very merry Diwali! -- Basically, Diwali is celebrated because of 2 reasons, related to Indian beliefs 1) In the Hindu epic; Ramayan, when Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Laxman return from their 14-year exile in the forest back to their kingdom Ayodhya. The village people of Ayodhya grandly celebrate their arrivals with diyas lighten up all around! 2) The wife of Krishna(a god); Satyabhama. So basically Satyabhaama kills a vicious demon called Narakasura and this is one of the other reasons for the Diwali celebration! -- Happy Diwali!! @einstein_kode
