Okay I was bored, so here’s a bit of the backstory of Eva (character design goes to @Blossomsoul) and some rushed lazy art (yay) The actual writing part is in the notes and credits section It’s not very long I probably will write more (whether ya like it or not)
Darkness fell. Each light in the village snuffed out, each window shut, each curtain drawn closed. Outside, a silence, interrupted only by the howling wind. Yet footsteps, muffled by the freshly fallen snow, stumbled; footsteps of a woman clutching a basket in her hands, her knuckles whitening. Close up, you could see it contained a baby girl, eyes shut, tiny fingers curled into a ball. Placing her onto the doorstep, her mother bent forward. Tears trailed down her pale, pinched face. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, over and over again, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Hands trembling, she tucked a blanket around the baby. Her emerald eyes desperate, lost, searching for some sort of condolence, some way to ease the pain. None came. She turned away, not daring to let herself linger any longer, before she changed her mind, and ran into the mist. The baby still slept, not knowing. Not knowing that she would wake to find her mother gone, tracks covered by the snow. Not knowing that she would be found. Not knowing that another pair of hands would pick her up and hold her. There were many things that she did not know. Many things.
