Being Singaporean, I may or may not have the rights to talk about the Trump/Biden election. But things get around the world too, and it can affect others around the world too. I saw many people supporting Trump because they say he was manhandling the COVID situation. Because he wouldn't lock the country down. Because he wouldn't force the citizens to wear masks. Because he wouldn't take away your guns. Because he wouldn't "take away" the police, or the firefighters. But think about this. -- COVID-19 -- If you don't lockdown the country, the COVID cases will stock up higher. And higher. And higher. Is he manhandling the situation, by refusing to do something that would slow the waves of COVID infections? So many people have lost their lives to the coronavirus, and even more are losing theirs because he refuses to ask the citizens to wear masks. It's such a simple action, to put on the mask, to cover your nose and mouth. But yet, it could save so many lives by reducing the spread. It's sad that people are losing their lives just because they refuse to wear a mask to protect themselves and others. Trump refused to wear a mask. Look what happened to him - He contracted the virus. The virus is real. The virus is a threat. And Trump isn't helping. He calls the virus "Chinese virus", and it encourages racism. I am Chinese. I am not afraid to say that. I am Chinese, but do I have the virus? No. It's just wrong to pinpoint it on one racial group, on Asians. The reason why I was harassed and bullied was because I was Asian. Because I was Chinese, I was called a COVID carrier. Do you see now? Do you see how he encourages racism? -- Transphobia -- Trump took away trans rights. He erased protections for transgender patients against discrimination by doctors, hospitals and health insurance companies. He banned transgender individuals to join the millitary. Trans rights are human rights. Transgenders are living people too. They have feelings and thoughts, and they are valid. By doing what he was doing, he was basically screaming: "TRANSGENDER PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE THEIR RIGHTS. THEY AREN'T PEOPLE." Furthermore, he is sexist, and racist, and I will be providing a link to a project that talks more about it below. -- Defunding the police -- When people say ACAB, it isn't about saying all cops are bastards. We know about that cop who stopped another cop from suffocating a black person. It's saying that when you put on the uniform, you're holding up a corrupt system. This is why the police need to be defunded, and no, it won't "take away" the police nor the firefighters. -- Taking away guns -- No guns mean lesser school shootings. No guns mean lesser brutal or fatal attacks on people. No guns mean you're safer. No guns DOES NOT MEAN you will be unsafe. You will still be safe, and you will also probably be even safer, because no one's gonna be able to shoot you dead, because you don't have a gun. There are many countries who have bans and laws about guns, but yet they are safe too. You will be safe. -- Another thing (unrelated) -- This is something I can't emphasize enough, and I hope I don't sound rude saying this. You can't say you respect LGBTQ+ when you're against gay marraige. That's because by being against gay marraige, you're restricting the members of the LGBTQ+ their rights to marry someone they love. I hope you understand. -- "Brainwashed" by the news -- You can think that the news is fake all you want, but you can't run from the truth that not all of it is fake. Trump isn't helping you guys in anyway, and he's just giving people a bad idea of America by the way he is leading. I'm sorry if I offend you, but it's just the way it is. -- To end off -- It's not that I think Biden is completely right. He is human too, and we all make mistakes. But I feel that Trump has taken too many lives and rights away. I feel that there needs to be a change. Trans rights are human rights. LGBTQ rights are human rights. Racial equality is human rights. We are all human, after all, even if we identify diffrently (e.g., furry, gay, straight, black, white, Asian, American). I am sorry to transgender individuals and anyone affected (negativitely by Trump) whose parents support Trump and doesn't support your rights and identity. And so I ask you of this. Please think about us, think of the transgender individuals, think of the LGBTQ community, think of the many black innocent people, think of the Asians, of racial equality. This is all I ask, so please, help make the world a better place by thinking of others too. -- Links -- https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/442842445/ (by @edenxm) -- Credits -- Facts taken from the news, some other Scratch projects, and online.
