Version 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/467526543/ Hurricane Patricia (Also known as Hypercane Patricia) was the strongest storm in recorded history. Prior to becoming a tropical cyclone, the storm caused significant flooding in Mexico and Central America. The storm started off weak, but would intensify at an incredible rate into a record strength of 215 MPH. The storm also had the second lowest pressure, only behind typhoon Tip, although some estimates suggest Patricia had a lower pressure than Tip. Just prior to making landfall in western Mexico, Patricia rapidly weakened. The storm made landfall as a category 4 with winds of 150 MPH, the strongest landfall ever recorded in western Mexico. Damages were significant, but due to the relatively sparse population of the landfall area, they were largely limited. The storm then moved north and caused flooding in south Texas NOTE: No official category for Hypercane exists, though I call storms over 200 MPH Hypercane Music: Force 13-Rapid Intensification - #Hurricane #Patricia #HurricanePatricia
