Description

Remembrance Day, also known by the names Poppy Day, Armistice Day, and Veterans Day, is a very special day that commemorates the end of World War 1 and honours the brave soldiers who fought there. On November 11, we wear poppies and gather at war memorials to pay tribute to those who died fighting in the war. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the Armistice of World War was signed in 1918. As such, we observe two minutes of silence to remember. It’s important to educate ourselves and others about remembrance and to understand the sacrifices these brave soldiers made in war, will you join the rest of the world in remembrance of the soldiers who died? Many soldiers died at Flanders Fields, a while later, poppies started growing there for unknown reasons, that's why they are often used to remember those who lost their lives.
