Learn what different objects are called in different languages! ✦ Click the objects to hear and read what they are called in the language displayed in the middle. ✦ Click the green flag to display 8 random objects. ✦ Click the language button to switch to a random language. There are 99 objects and 22 languages in total. Some words don't translate well, such as "right", "a dove" or "a llama". I changed "a dove" to "a pigeon", which makes it weird in English but fixes it in other languages. Fixing the others was harder. "Right" is supposed to be the direction, but is translated as meaning "correct". I tried replacing it with the Swedish of Japanese words, which only have the direction meaning, but it seems like the translations are made *via* English, because the result is the same. Eventually, I replaced it with "to the right", which works fine.
The costumes are from the Scratch library. This uniform size and position of the objects is accomplished with the code demonstrated in this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/448278595/
