"have you left scratch?" whether you've noticed or not, i think it's clear my scratch isn't exactly active. a lot of you have asked if i've left. well, the answer to that question is pretty much. i'm not really planning to post anything here anymore, with a few exceptions. i've honestly lost my interest in this site and have moved to youtube. the only things i'm every making specifically for scratch are: 1. my qna. a little while ago i hosted one celebrating 450 followers (even though i now have 600 stoppit) and i haven't posted the answers yet. don't expect them anytime soon, but do expect them. 2. a new version of my flight game. a little over a year ago, i made a project about someone's original scratch comic. it happened to get featured, and let's just say it had a lot of success. i never ended up finishing it (due to the tremendous amount of work involved) but i'm thinking of re-doing it, with all new art and an actually finished story. other than that, there's nothing else that i will be posting on my scratch account. so yes, i guess i've left. but! i do actively check my messages on here (every week if i can) and i try to reply to most of them. but other than that i won't be playing an active part in the scratch community. the only projects i'll love are fanart or gifts. "but why are you leaving?" i have quite a few reasons for leaving this site, but here are the main ones: 1. the restrictions. scratch is a site meant for children. therefore, everything you post has to be /very/ child friendly. no swearing in songs, even if it's minimal, no "edgy" art and not a lot of freedom. you can't draw things acting very romantically, it's a steal if you get away with even a kiss. there can be no blood at all and no weapons. it's a bit hard to grow in art if all you can draw is lollipops and rainbows. 2. the community. don't get me wrong, there's definitely a great side to the scratch community. but unfortunately, it doesn't really outweigh the toxic part. there is constant art theft, homophobia and drama; and i just don't have the patience for it anymore. i would go further on this topic but i don't want to anger anyone. 3. i've grown out of scratch. like i said before, scratch is a site intended for children. i've lost interest in posting my art here, when there are much better site i could use instead. deviantart, youtube and toyhou.se are all sites that will work much better for art than scratch. "will i be able to find you on any other site?" yes! i will be active on my youtube, which you can find right here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxL2sk701CAU73Gu-ik4njw?view_as=subscriber !! my other socials are also listed there. so that pretty much wraps this project, i'll miss you all a lot! don't be afraid to drop a comment on my profile, i still love chatting here from time to time! if you still like my art, pls don't unfollow me i like seeing how far i've come here lol ps. my art has improved a lot since my posts here, at least i hope lmao bye!!
