Click on stuff to use it. Click on the magnifying glass to go into "Inspect" Mode, where you can click on stuff to learn about it. Click on the backpack to go into "Combine" Mode, where you can use items you have in your inventory on other objects. Click on the red arrows to change the cardinal direction you are looking in.
