I know scratch isn't supposed to be for politics, but this election is so much more important than just politics. For example, the environment is at stake. (This all is my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt) As of now, there are only 10 hours before the counting for the presidential election wins. I will add that I a a liberal. When President Donald Trump only writes that liberals are socialists, it greatly upsets me. I just want to let everyone reading this know that nothing is black and white. Over the past decade, thanks to social media, Republicans and Democrats have been getting farther and farther apart. This is dangerous. We have as a country been seeing more and more extremists on both sides getting more violent than ever. This is making America look like a failure. We must stop. The president isn't helping this. The president should be helping the people come together, not dividing it. When the president retweets something racist, not only is it a racist act towards them, because they represent all of us, it shows how racist America is; we tolerate his intolerable behavior. We, America, have made multiple full democracies, yet we are not actually one. Why should the Republicans only have 1 ballot per city? That is technically rigging the election. In a true democracy, there is no need for electoral colleges. The only reason electoral colleges were added was because the government didn't trust that the people were smart enough to make good decisions, and they didn't want to be looked down by monarchies in Europe. This is no longer the case. Why should we follow that rule? Last year, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than 2 million people. However, Donald Trump still won (and then bragged about being the most popular candidate). A lot is at risk. We only have 10 years to half our emissions or most animal species will die. Recently, Trump allowed hunting of endangered wolves and of logging more forests in Alaska, just because he cares about being in power. This isn't fair. We cannot have a president that only cares about themselves in power. Why do you think he tried to start the Hunter Biden stories? Its because he is trying to hide all of the things that he has done, like the fact that he is impeached, is using taxpayer money for his campaign, what he has said very racist and sexist things in the last few years, and that he has been saying for ages that we are "rounding the turn" on Covid-19, even though we have more cases than ever. Even Trump got Covid-19. The only reason he is still alive is because he is the president, and people will do whatever it takes to make sure that he survives. For example, no one else got an experimental cocktail of proteins to slow Covid-19 down. The only advice they got from the president was to drink bleach. Biden has his issues as well. But would he wait 6 months before finally agreeing that Covid-19 was real, just so that he looked good, or would he decide to stop testing so that we looked better? I doubt it. Vote early if you can. As of now, there are 10 hours until election day starts. The lines have been more than 3 hours long, so get there early (or get your parents there early). Try to vote today, and not tomorrow, because the lines could be WAY bigger tomorrow. The writing was written by me. I am upset at Donald Trump.
