Her parents were strong spiritual believers, and claimed they were giving their daughter up to be raised by the woods, as they sensed an otherworldly presences in her soul. The infant was found by a wander wolf pack an hour or so later, fighting for her life, and was instantly taken in by the pack. One of the wolves, a mother who had just lost her pups to a storm, took Accalia in as her own, and fed her own milk to the baby. The wolf's nutrition from birth is likely what cause the girl to grow up with her oddities, large furry ears, a fluffy long tail, and sharp nails like claws on her fingers. She grew up surrounded by the hunt, learning how to catch her own meals as a toddler, but still protected by the pack who had raised her. When she was still a child, Accalia's mother-wolf passed away from old age, something that is to be expected with wolves, but it caused her to grieve for many months. She made a shrine for her guardian, deep in the woods, and still visits with gifts and prayers every full moon.
