Instructions

V.2 of CRQ Testing. Controls and Known Bugs are here! Not everything is completely functional yet - this is only a concept for a possible game. V1: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/415620666/ Controls AD/Left & Right arrow keys: Move Space: Jump; hold Space to glide (Glide now gives a small air boost before descending) W/Up arrow key: Look up (partly functional) S/Down arrow key: Look down (partly functional) Z: Interact if you're close to an object or NPC (disabled in this version, though it still functions if you make Mini Zodi show) X: Open/Close Map (partly functional) V: Open/Hide variables (hidden by default. this will not be in the final release - this is just here for those who are curious.) Known Bugs If you have any solutions to these, let me know. I haven't coded games in a while so all of these are my fault lol - Weird collision is caused when walking off the higher platform, temp. fix is to jump again - Sometimes Chibi Ranai doesn't fall down but rather stays suspended in the air, temp. fix is to touch one of the edges and jump/glide - Animations sometimes override another (like running when jumping or gliding) - Chibi Ranai sometimes clips into the ground, temp. fix is to jump again to fix position - Terrain's y-position becomes weird when gliding (i sort of have a fix for this via the jump/glide time variable, though the current script for that broke at detecting the variable) - It's possible to go out of bounds via "wall-jumping" (there will be collision detection for the y-position soon)

Description

Scratch Wiki for helping with improving the scripts. Digimon belongs to Bandai Namco. Dragalia Lost belongs to Cygames and Nintendo. V.2 of this testing project has improved movement - it has actual physics now! I also started the implementation of scrolling, the map system, and partial collision detection for the terrain. The scrolling isn't 100% done yet, so I temporarily disabled the Mini Zodi NPC until I can get it to work the way I envision it to. It's still very finicky, especially when you try gliding. (The Jump/Glide time variable is supposed to make the terrain wait for when Chibi Ranai is descending, but that stopped working for some reason) Collision detection is also still weird, as you can get Chibi Ranai to walk on the air like he's using Creative Mode. I also attempted to code looking up/down, but that kept messing with Chibi Ranai's y-position. The script for that is non-functional in this project for now. You can look inside and find a concept I have for the Tutorial Level! There's a map concept, and even planned dialogue and tutorial messages. Let me know what you think of this concept, and if you have any solutions to the Known Bugs I've listed. Also give me any improvements I should make. Over this weekend, I will refine scrolling and finish implementation of the other features for you all to try out!
