The timer isn't very consistent, but trust me, that's the accurate time. The 1:00 barrier has finally been smashed (although just by a TAS)! Keep in mind that runs of SdHH are timed until the end of the epilogue cutscene, not the beginning. One exciting thing worth noting is that even though this is a TAS, this time still MIGHT be achievable by a human! The Kop Car glitch is optional but it will give you the best estimate as to where to jump not to hit the Goombah. The current world record for ouchieless% is a 1:05.51 by CarlSagan42, so we're not that far off! HOW THE RUN WAS DONE: First of all, as soon as the game starts, mash the right arrow key. Try and mash it as fast as you can. When you reach the end of the first screen, hold the key. This way, the repeat delay won't effect Senkick's speed, as the next screen will be loaded. This method saves about half a second over just holding right. Then, just hold right until the Kop cutscene is initiated. Then, mash the "F" key as fast as you can. If this is done correctly, the Kop Car Glitch will occur, leaving the Kop Car onscreen for the remainder of the run. Once the next screen is loading, hold right. Once again, the repeat delay won't lose you any time. The next thing to do is, when you get to the loop, enter at the middle of it. this way, you will start the loop cutscene earlier, saving a small amount of time. Continue to hold right. The next strat is the only jump you need to preform in the run. On the screen with the Goombah, run until you touch the Kop Car. Jump, and then mash right as fast as you can. Then, once you get to the end of the screen, preform the screenload time save again. At this point, you're almost in the clear. Just hold right until the very last screen. You need to let go of right AS SOON as you hit the goal. This will initiate the Saddle cutscene MUCH earlier saving about a half second. This strat was discovered by ME while making this TAS. I've DM'd CarlSagan42 and Pannankoek2012, the top runners of SdHH, telling them this. Doing this all correctly will give you a time around 0:58. Thanks for reading, and happy speeding!
