Continuation of the previous project because I only have so much space to put words on here ig. Part 1 ; https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/437504052/ ---------- Wy sniffled softly, rubbing at their eyes. They couldn’t remember when they’d last slept but they felt awful. Their brain refused to focus on much of anything other than trying to cry. Evidently, Ori and Dennis weren’t much better off. Dennis had fully fallen asleep by this point, leaning on his arm as he snoozed. Ori had given up working on her script, scrolling tumblr instead, reading through some critiques of the shows. She frowned. “Yeesh.. You’d think people would be a little nicer out there.” She grumbled. Wy sniffled again, wiping at their face before leaning over to read whatever Ori had pulled up. They grimaced. “‘Whoever directed this garbage is a piece of trash and should feel awful’, ‘the directors of these shows are absolute morons’, ‘these horror stories should never have been produced let alone directed by anyone, and yet these idiots have still taken up the shows’...” Wy frowned, sitting back. They were being treated like not-people… Ori frowned, setting her phone down. “ughh.. I love my job, don’t get me wrong, but it’s people like that who make me question what I’m doing..” Wy nodded in agreement. Dennis sighed, rubbing at his face. “...people are rude.” He murmured. He’d heard Wy read off the headlines. The other two directors nodded in agreement. Dennis sighed, looking up and around. He frowned. “Hey-- Where is everyone-?” It was a ghost-town in the courtyard, not a single soul besides those three. All three of them frowned, looking between each other nervously. Justice ran into the kitchen with three large cards in her arms, setting them on the table near Sylvius. The huge kitchen was an absolute bustle of activity as everyone was working together on this. Venive’s plan was flawless aside from one factor, they’d need more help than just three kids could manage to make all the food and appreciation gifts they had planned in such a short amount of time. Venive and Zenic were currently directing the kitchen with Ink as their main assistant. Most everyone was either cooking or making little gifts at the table. Zodiac was in the middle of directing the gift making and Justice and Winter had been put in charge of running to the store and getting some large cards big enough for everyone to sign. “Venive!” Justice called, getting up onto one of the chairs. Zodiac was standing in the chair beside her and a free seat was on her other side. Venive grinned and quickly darted over, taking the pen Justice offered him as he got into his seat. “Thank you for getting the cards Justice.” Zodiac grinned, writing his name on one of the cards. Justice nodded as she concentrated on spelling her name properly and not smudging the ink with her left-handedness. Venive nodded in agreement with Zodiac as he quickly wrote his own name with a flourish. “I’m sure they’re gonna love it. All of it. All of this.” Venive smiled, watching the whole room bustle about as everyone came in and out setting everything up. Some people were in another room decorating it in preparation for the surprise as well. Justice and Zodiac both nodded as the three swapped cards and repeated writing their names. “Do you think they’ll be mad?” Zodiac asked, glancing at his friends. Justice hesitated. Venive shook his head firmly as they swapped cards once again. “They won’t be, we’re doing this for them after all.” “I dunno..what if they are..?” Justice murmured, lowering her ears as she looked around. “I mean- We’re supposed to be filming today right..?” “Yeah-well- … It’s too late to come up with something else now.” Venive nodded. “Here, Justice, can you make sure everyone signs these?” He asked, giving her a thankful smile. Justice paused, then nodded happily. “Yeah- Okay!” She beamed, picking up the cards and quickly scurrying off with a pen to get people to start signing the cards. Zodiac nodded, waving to Venive as he returned to the kitchen to help his father and Ink cook.
It didn’t take much longer to get the remainder of the things prepared. Everyone working together plus a fair bit of powers and energies got everything put together extremely quickly. The fact that it was three kiddos asking everyone to pitch in got even the least likely people to pitch in even somewhat, even if it was just a couple of dollars for supplies for gifts. Justice, Zodiac and Venive soon stood in the center of the party room, each absolutely beaming as they looked around. A large pile of little handmade gifts, a long buffet of food, wonderful decorations, and cheap party hats Justice insisted on everyone wearing. To the kids, it was absolutely perfect. Some of the adults were hesitant but willing to work at this anyways. Most of them recognized when they’d been...quite difficult as of late and figured this would be at least a step towards apologizing. And maybe it’d get their directors to take a break finally. Justice turned to her friends with a beam. “Think we’re ready to bring them in?” She asked, bouncing on her toes. Zodiac and Venive both nodded excitedly. One last look around to make sure everything was perfectly in place and everyone was hiding and the three ran off in search of the directors. Speaking of the directors...they were starting to freak out. They couldn’t find ANYONE. Not in any filming studio, not in any break room, not anywhere outside where some liked to reside.. They couldn’t find a single soul. Wy frowned, biting their nails. “This is- Worrisome.” They groaned, wings twitching, a clear sign of their anxiety. Ori and Dennis both nodded in agreement. “If we can’t find anyone soon we’re going to have to call in security.” Dennis frowned. “And we’ve already called just about everyone, not a single call went through.” Ori groaned. “To be fair the signal in here sucks..” Wy sighed. “That’s true..” Ori nodded. All three froze upon hearing three sets of giggles running up behind them. “Mr. Dennis! Missus Ori! Mx. Wy!” All three of the kids ran over, each tackle hugging their respective director. “We got a surprise for you!” Zodiac beamed, clinging onto Ori. “Yeah!! You gotta come!” Justice squeaked happily, draggin Wy’s hand in the direction of the party. “Please! We made it just for you!” Venive pressed, pushing Dennis in the right direction. All three directors hesitated, then kinda nodded, silently letting the kids lead them to the party room. The doors were open when they got there, but the lights were completely off. The three kids beamed and scampered into the dark room, abandoning the directors at the door. Dennis frowned, walking in and flicking on a lightswitch. And right on cue, everyone jumped out and yelled “SURPRISE!!”, most throwing confetti and some throwing balloons from the ceiling at the directors. Wy jUMped back in alarm, barrling into Ori who tried to step aside and rammed into Dennis who just took it and the three ended up in a shocked pile on the floor. The kids ran over to the directors with three party hats, giggling excitedly as they placed a hat on each director. “There!” Justice beamed. “Now you can enter the party!!” Wy sat up, mumbling an apology to Ori as they looked around in shock. “This.. This is for us?” They asked. Dennis blinked, looking around as the kids nodded in confirmation. All this.. For them..? He looked up as Sorus came over and helped Ori up with a chuckle. “Sorry for scaring you guys, it was the kids’ idea.” “Y’darn right it was!” Justice squeaked excitedly. “Venive came up with the main idea and Zodiac and I helped!!” ---------- Part 3 ; https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/437505650/
