Computer viruses have taken over Link888's projects. Take control of Link and travel through each project to exterminate the parasites. Your pass is shown on the top left, underneath your arrow count. Note this down so you can continue playing where you left off. Press 'P' for a copy and pastable version of your pass, and also to enter a pass. Contents: -Basic Controls -Moveset -General Tips -Advanced Tips Basic Controls: A and D - Move W - Jump S - Duck J - Melee Attack K - Special Attack L - Dash P - Pass Menu Moveset (Loosely based on Super Smash Bros.): J (Ground) - Downward Slash J -> J (Ground) - Downward Slash, Side Slash J -> J -> J (Ground) - Downward Slash, Side Slash, Foward Thrust J (Air) - Jump Attack J + S (Air) - Downward Thrust K - Bow and Arrow K + A/D - Boomerang K + W - Spin Attack K + S - Bomb General Tips: - The controls are similar to Smash Bros. but there are subtle differences to learn; try practicing in the hub area - Mashing or holding down buttons aimlessly won't get you far; make sure to properly time and space your attacks - Dash to get around quickly, but walk when you need finer precision movements - You can drop through certain platforms with S - All attacks do the same amount of damage, but differ in start up, end lag, hitbox size and position; use the correct tool for the correct situation - Link won't swipe the sword again if you don't let go of J during an attack's ending; if you mistime your J presses then you will get stuck in endlag - You can't change the direction you're facing in midair, unless you use the spin attack or jump attack -If you get hit in midair, you'll get knocked back further than on th ground - Defeating enemies as they appear is the way to go, else they will accumulate and you'll be overwhelmed - Green viruses have take the most hits to beat, they're the fastest and also follow Link; take care of these guys first! - Viruses are hurt by certain stage hazards; use this to your advantage and let the stage do the work for you - If you have full hearts when collecting the heart container, you will gain an extra temporary heart - Each level has 20 viruses (2000kb), a golden rupee (1000kb) and a boss (1000kb). You will also get an extra 500kb if you have 1 heart remaining or 1000kb if you have 2 or more hearts; totalling to a maximum of 5000kb per level. Advanced Tips: - Duck to quickly halt your momentum; especially useful for precision movement when dashing - Tap W very quickly to do a short hop - The downward slash is more effective than the sideward slash and foward thrust; if your timing is good then you can perform it multiple times in a row - You can fall faster with the jump attack or downward thrust, but your landing lag will be greater - The jump attack propels you forward; combine with a dash for extreme horizontal movement - Press J immediately after jumping to do a short hop jump attack -The downward thrust makes you completely invincible in the air, so use it in a jam - You can't cancel the downward thrust until you hit solid ground though, so make sure there is a platform below you when you use it! - You can hold down K to better time your arrows, boomerangs, spin attack (only on ground) and bomb throws - Though the sword can hit enemies away, projectiles will only hit enemies upward, so they aren't useful for getting enemies away from you - Mash K to shoot arrows quickly, but watch your arrow count! - Arrows are the best way to deafeat a whole line of enemies, just make sure to be in a safe spot when shooting one - A close range boomerang can be extremely effective against enemies that can survive more than one hit - Press K immediately after jumping to do a short hop spin attack - The boomerang will continue moving until it reaches Link or hits something; throw it and then move in the opposite direction to cover you back - The spin attack will give you extra height and hang time if used in midair; use it like a double jump - You can only use the spin attack once in midair, but unlike in Smash Bros., you are able to use other attacks after spin attacking in midair - The start up and ending lag of the spin attack are quicker in midair - You are invincible while spinning, but vulnerable once your attack stops - Hold down K to throw the bomb further - It is a good tactic to throw bombs whenever you have breathing space; but be careful not to be caught in the explosion!
