Ok so this is based off of the Wendigo, it's a dark and either grass or ghost type. He uses the natural red color to scare away creatures, don't agitate him or else he will not hesitate to kill you. Only people that has catched a legendary or a potentially strong pokemon will have a chance to capture him. Back then it was one of the most hostile pokemon and will slowly make the trees and plants wither away. The Withered form basically happened when his power got drained because of the war that happened. He now hides in the mystic woods.
