I entered for Lantern, Inky, and Chai! ;) Key - Name//age in cat years//gender//personality// backstory Bio: Lantern//14 years old in cat years//male//offended easily, likes teasing other animals (preferably other cats) can be greedy//Lantern is a street cat, and has always been. He has never known his parents, "if he even has parents" he said, and he never had a name. He wonders if he actually was an orphan with no parents at all, descended from ancestors. He was born without the orange paw, and the bright orange eyes. Or, like I said, was probably descended from ancestors without the markings. But one day, a mysterious cat with glowing orange eyes and markings, lunged at him and started attacking him. Lantern was knocked out, and when he woke up, he saw his right paw was orange. He looked into a reflective object, and saw his eyes were orange. And his ears were yellow. He could remember one thing: the cat biting his right paw, and he concluded that that's how he got all of these markings but he doesn't know for sure. Lantern, thirsty for revenge, went after that cat at night hoping to surprise attack it. He followed its scent to a dark, creepy cave that looked endless from the outside. When he went into the cave, he noticed that there was a light right in his spot. Curious, he looked down and saw that his paw was glowing a light for him. His eyes were like flashlights wherever he looked, and Lantern felt more confident after discovering this. After a while of exploring the cave, trying to follow the scent, he heard a rock fall onto the ground. He whipped his head around in that direction, and saw nothing but the shadows of the cave (and his own flashlight eye's lights, of course). Until, with a jolt of horror, felt claws pierce his back, and he was pinned down to the ground, knocking the breath out of him. "Why do you wish to come for me?" The cat said in a deadly tone. The cats voice was cold and slithery, with a tinge of age in between. "Y...you almost killed me!" Lantern gasped. "I did not attack you because I wanted you slain, but because you needed me!" the cat roared. Lantern tried clapping his paws to his ears, but they couldn't reach them and instead he winced, shut his eyes tight and yowled. "You just yelled in my ear, you piece of uselessness!" he shouted. "Silence!" Having no better idea, Lantern stayed quiet. "When you were born, I saw your future. I do not want to tell you what I saw, because I know you would try to change it. But you had a horrible fate. It would include darkness, misery, everything the opposite of light. So I stalked you–" "YOU STALKED ME!?" Lantern bellowed. "Do not be angry. I stalked you and waited for the right time to give you your light. You needed that light to save yourself from your horrible fate. Don't try to kill me as I just saved your life." "HOW ON EARTH WOULD YOU SAVE ME!? ALL YOU GAVE ME WAS A LIGHT, ON MY PAW, AND GLOWING EYES! HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO…CHANGE MY SO-CALLED FATE!?" Lantern roared. "You will see as you grow." And with that, before Lantern could yell anymore at the cat, he disappeared, and all that was left was Lantern and his light. He still has yet to figure out what the cat meant by "change his fate", and still wonders who the cat is. Now he has given himself his own name, Lantern. And now at this present moment, he can be found down dark alleys, in abandoned houses and cars, and anywhere else that has little light. Look in the comments to see the rest of the stories!
