This flashlight project was inspired by Jens's. It uses a single sprite with a white-to-black gradient behind a transparent image with black writing. Where the white sprite is behind the writing, the writing can be read. Hiding the white sprite makes the writing disappear against the black background. This version uses no variables or broadcast messages. Click and hold to turn on the flashlight. Use the mouse to wave the flashlight around.
