Lark, Eclipse, and Ron walked down the road quietly. Lark was skipping happily, Ron was walking alongside him, fidgeting with his medallion, and Eclipse was zoned out, her markings pulsing gently and her eyes closed, yet she still walked around other Pokemon and objects without even touching them. After a couple minutes of this, Eclipse opened her eyes and turned to look at two Pokemon chatting on a bench. Lark and Ronald followed her gaze. One was a Pikachu with a faded and ripped blue scarf, and the other was an Eevee with a Sylveon bow on her right ear and wearing a purple scarf. Lark immediately ran over to them. "Hello!" he called, and they turned to look at him, confused. "Would you two like to join the Pokesters, the great team that will make it deep into the Dark Kingdom and back?" The Pikachu jumped up suddenly. "The Other Side? What an adventure! Of course! What about you, Maple?" he said, turning to the Eevee. The look on her face read 'Do you expect me to destroy myself?' and she turned and ran away. Ronald and Eclipse watched her flee with blank looks on their faces, then turned to watch Lark give the Pikachu a medallion. "I'm Piko!" he said, jumping down from the bench he was on, sparks flying from his cheek pouches. Eclipse looked unusually curious about this Pikachu, and her guard seemed to be let down. Ron poked her, and she growled and jumped back, startled. With a sigh, she went and introduced herself to Piko. She noticed a pawmark on his scarf, and held her paw out to clean it off. "No, that's my special memory!" he said, jumping back a bit, but then he noticed that Eclipse's paw matched his mark exactly. "Wait..." he looked up at Eclipse. Lark and Ron looked plain confused. "Did you... save me from the evil Pokemon?" Eclipse and her friends were running through a field of dark material, chasing their Zoroark mentor, Zack, for training. "Ooooo!" a Combusken said from Eclipse's right, running in a different direction. Eclipse and the rest of the group followed, ignoring Zack's furious yell. Eclipse gently pushed past the other Pokemon to see who they were staring at. It was a Charmander, a Lairon, a Minccino, a Pikachu, and a Pichu, all wearing bright blue scarves. None of them had the dark symbol glowing on their chest, which meant they were light Pokemon. With a mixture of growls, hisses, and roars, the Pokemon surrounding Eclipse pounced on them, using dark magic to corrupt them. She quickly scooped up the Pichu and began corrupting him, lightly lifting up the scarf to watch the mark start forming. But the Pichu, having been scratched up and stepped on, burst into tears, and Eclipse pushed the scarf back down, putting a pawmark on it and pausing the corruption process. She felt like corrupting the poor thing would be wrong, so she quickly dashed away without anyone noticing. She exited the dimension with a portal hidden among the trees, and laid the Pichu down on a flower bed. "Pi..?" the Pichu chirped, looking at Eclipse. She smiled softly, coaxing him to run away. When he was far enough away, she turned around, and gasped as Zack and two Houndoom guards were glaring at her. "I knew you never were truly a dark Pokemon," Zack chuckled. "Yeah..." Eclipse said, blinking and looking down at Piko. "I did, didn't I? All those years ago before I was banished..." she turned to look at Lark, who was reading 'A Guide to the Best Pokemon Movesets and Items for Unevolved Normal Types', and Ron, who was shaking and sweating uncontrollably in nervousness. "Um...we should probably keep looking for recruits," she said, gently blushing as she glanced at Piko. Lark put his guidebook in his bag and stood up with a grin. "Of course!" He lead the Pokemon towards the outskirts of the town, singing to himself, as Ronald stomped after him, gloomy, and Piko sat on Eclipse as she walked in the back.

I probably won't do this method again XD ~ ~ Extra Note: Eclipse had barely just evolved when she found Piko, and Piko was about to evolve, Pichus just act very babyish in my universe. They're about the same age. ~ This chapter will only have two parts, then the plot will start falling together!
