New version of Badly Drawn Racers here... https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/975465731/ Dear dishonest "remixers". If you're not going to add anything to the game, don't pretend you've written it, don't scribble on the graphics and say you've done new graphics, don't steal graphics from previous versions and say you made more... This isn't your work, I have spent an absolute tonne of time working on this only for you to then steal it. I'm so close to just canning the whole thing because of people like yourselves, it just makes me sick. Be a better person. Version 0.8 - I strongly recommend you actually read the instructions so you don't ask questions that are already answered! This is still a Work in Progress but getting much closer to a finished product! There's still lots to do but I thought this was enough extra stuff to justify this release. You will first be presented with the options page: Start position, First, Last and Random Easy, Medium and Hard is how skilled the opponents are, even on Hard they're very beatable right now. Camera Free or Fixed determines if the camera will rotate or not, it's entirely your preference here Steering sensitivity 1,2 and 3 is how sensitive you like the steering... I like it on 2. Pick the number of laps for the race 3, 4 or 5. Clicking on the car in the middle selects your livery (and name!) "Let's Go" starts the race Drive your Car using the arrow keys (or WASD) to steer / gas / brake. The story so far... Re-spot is still a bit iffy, but it's better than it has been, I will tell you off if you come off the track. And if you stay on the road it won't happen! Once all the cars are finished you'll see your lap times, final standings, times etc.
Everything drawn by myself. The cars were drawn by hand and photographed. A certain amount of digital editing was necessary to clean it up. The colours of the car were scribbled in felt tip pens and photographed and then applied to the monochrome outline of the car. The road again was drawn on a piece of paper. The grass and road was drawn separately, using an online tool I turned these into seamless textures. The road markings were then applied to these to make the final result. Paint.net used as the graphical editor. All sounds made with my mouth directly into the scratch sound editor (even the ticks on the menu screen!)... Except for the Team Radio, I recorded this and added a high pass filter and distortion to give it an more authentic radio sound, it is however, still my voice! #games
