sorry if the writing is blurry I will just put it right here. Ember lay silently in the swaying leaves of the coyote brush. The fading sunlight cast a dark red halo around Ember making her fur glow. She glanced up for a moment at the sky, letting her thoughts wander to the mystical sunset above her. Suddenly, a soft crunch sounded from ahead of her. Ember pricked her ears toward the noise and slowly swung her head around to look at the source. A large rabbit hopped slowly in the clearing ahead, rustling in the leaves. Dumb rabbit. Ember thought, shaking her head in disgust. The kits inside of her kicked, and she let out a gasp. The rabbit froze, looking right at her. She lay still, hoping the rabbit would be to stupid to see her. For moments, the rabbit stared right at her, before returning to it’s search for food. Again, Ember approached her prey, stalking it quietly. When she was finally close enough, Ember leaped into the air, her belly sagging with her unborn kits. Misjudging the leap, Ember landed a tail tip length away from the dumb creature. The rabbit squeaked in terror, and took off in the opposite direction. Ember huffed, giving chase. The rabbit jumped forward, looking behind it as it ran. Suddenly, large, strong forpaws landed on it, killing it easily. A brilliant orange raynard kit-sun dipped his marvelous head down and picked up the rabbit. “I could have caught it,” Ember stated defiantly, beginning to lick her paw, as if she didn’t care about the prey. “You shouldn’t be out hunting, while you're carrying kits,” the reynard said firmly. “I know Flame but-” Ember began. “No, those are my kits to, don’t go messing them up with your dumb decisions.” Flame said angrily. Ember bowed her head down, in a passive manner letting Flame win the argument.
