This is a picture of a feral cat. They are usually thrown out of their homes. These cat's rarely live past their third birthday.This happened to our cat, Gypsy. She was a mother cat tossed out, like that cat in the picture. She was caught by animal control and we adopted her. We rescued our other cats as kittens, Finnegan was a feral kitten and Ellie was a runt adopted from a really bad place. Our dog Falcon, was rescued from a kennel because his family decided he was too big, even after two years of owning him! (he's a german shepard) . My guinea pigs were adopted from a shelter as well.
