Kira, Tembi, Kyanite and Miriam have...all escaped. W-would you like us to chase after them? Kushi: No. Let them go? Sen: Wh-what? But-- Kushi: Are you deaf?! I. Said. To. Let. Them. Go. Sen: I-I'll...tell Alleko to call off his patrol. Kushi: Good. Now get out of here you worthless pup. Meanwhile... Tembi (panting): Why are we running? Miriam: We just need to get as far away from the Equalizers as possible. Tembi: Why, are they evil or something? Kira: Uh, of course they are! Is that not obvious at this point? Miriam: They are not evil! They're just...misguided. They go about their intentions the wrong way. And have you ever fought the Equalizers, Kira? Kira: U-uh! Well, no... Miriam: Well then, you can't really speak against them can you? My brother, Kyanite here, and I joined the Equalizers when we were hardly more than pups. Our father had just recently joined and we felt like we had no choice but to follow. But after a while, we realized that while the Equalizers' intentions were good, they...didn't care what they did to achieve them. Kira: Wh-what do you mean?! What do they do? Miriam: When the Guardians were first created, Lunariette and Amateron realized that they powers were quite hard to control. They created gem stones, one stone for each element, to help harness their powers. But, the Guardians began to heavily rely on the stones, and Lunariette and Amateron learned that if the stones were to be destroyed, the guardians would lose their powers, and the powers wouldn't find a new host. Out of fear, the Guardians hid their element stones. But Kushi managed to get her filthy paws on one of the stones... and... *Glass shatter sound* Tembi: And what happens then? Kyanite: Apparently, if the guardians lose their powers, their very lives fade away from them, until they become members of Aura Pack. Kira: What?! That can't be right!!! My parents were guardians! Miriam: O-oh! I-I'm sorry, there isn't anything you can-- Kira: We have to get to Sky Pack. NOW! There has to something that I can do. Tembi: No. I'm going back to the Equalizers. I trust Kushi...she CARES for me! She would never keep secrets from me like you and Lacuna, KIRA. I had to find out I was a guardian all on my own! It wasn't like you or Lacuna were ever gonna tell me! Kira: Wh-what? Tembi: Goodbye Kira. (He runs away, Kira starts crying.) Kyanite: I'm going after him. Kira: Leave him. We have to get to my parents! Kyanite: Okay...if you say so... Back At Sky Pack... Ashanti: There's no sign of Kira or Tembi, Amina. Wait, do you smell something? Amina: Kira! Thank goodness you're safe. We were all so worried when you disappeared! Wait...why on earth have you brought back these two wolves? Stand back before I tear the fur off both of you Equalizers! *After explaining* Amina: Tembi joined the Equalizers? Traitor! Kira: Yes, but can we worry about my parents first? Amina: Yes. You missed quite a bit while you were gone! You were gone for nearly four days. During that time, Lika, Zemora, Kwame, and A.J. were nearly exiled. Oringo thought the other packs would find us weak for allowing cats and a fox into the pack. Luckily Kwame and A.J. were able to use their speed and shapeshifting to win in a fight, and Zemora and Malika have proven to be excellent healers! Lacuna says they may become Aura Readers! Speaking of which, I'll see what those three can do about your parents, and I'll talk to Oringo about your Equalizer friends. He won't be pleased! Kira: Thank you, Amina. Back At Camp: Zemora: Hey Kira! Heard you got kidnapped? Kira: Yeah, I escaped though! Zemora: That's cool. Hey, did you hear about we were nearly exiled? Meanwhile...
