disclaimer again: this project is two and a half years old so take everything with a grain of salt. probably like a whole shaker or two of salt. - disclaimer: this is a year and a half old project. seventh grader me was not great at explaining her views. - this is a seven month old project and most of it will be no longer applicable to current society :) wow how did i manage to sound professional there i am not at all - ignore the fact that I'm typing this at 10:45pm ;) I'm tired so argument quality might be really bad slight rant warning so. there are a heck of a lot of projects about this, but I might as well make another. I swear I'm not trying to copy anyone, just wanted to share my thoughts. anyway, welcome. we're going to be discussing BLM, human rights, climate change, coronavirus, and the cali wildfires. what a fun set of topics am I right- first off, BLM. also known as the black lives matter movement. it is a PEACEFUL movement that's fighting against racism, for justice and equality. they are not saying that only black people matter; they're saying that black people deserve the same rights as white people have had for so long. how can you be against that? we're all human, it's not like someone is worth less than someone else just because their skin is dark. fun fact: human life started in Africa. the ancestry of every human in the world can be traced back to black people. and if you believe black people should have rights, why are you against BLM? please comment. I actually do want to know. human rights in general. the idea that anyone who isn't a cisgender heterosexual allosexual white male is worth less. the lgbtq community is still /not allowed to exist/ in… 94? countries? I'm not sure about the number, I'll look it up later. but seriously? I don't understand how you can deny people the right to love. and you can't make excuses for homophobia. one scratcher told me once that they don't support the lgbtq community, then quickly added that they know someone gay. so? honestly that has nothing to do with anything. in fact that makes it worse because that person isn't getting support from you. homophobia and transphobia have no excuse. having a gay relative or friend doesn't validate your belief that they shouldn't exist. anyway. climate change. donald trump has denied its existence over and over. it's real, guys. ignoring it won't make it go away. trump has said that it'll get cooler, we'll see. oh really? WINTER DOESN'T COUNT, GUYS. I think in fifty years we'll still be waiting for that. climate change is destroying our world. there is no planet B. please help the environment, it really does make a difference! the coronavirus pandemic. donald trump has done an incredibly poor job of handling it. wear a mask, guys. seriously. it's been scientifically proven to help. and look at New York. they were one of the worst places in April; now, my dad's friends there can /go out to dinner and sit inside safely/ because they did a good job of slowing the spread! guys, this is not a joke. it's not over. if we all follow the rules and don't go partying all the time we can actually make progress and maybe get over this whole thing. is it really that hard to put a piece of cloth on your face while you go out? no. if we do what we're supposed to, things can go back to normal. by the way, first responders, you guys are incredible and I don't know what we'd do without you. thank you for risking your lives every day for us all <33 the wildfires. this'll be short I promise. thanks for reading this far. so my state has currently had 3 million acres of it burned to the ground. let's take a moment to recognize all the people who lost their homes- I can't imagine that. I'm so lucky that my area hasn't been hit hard yet. let's also thank the firefighters who have been saving this state from being completely destroyed? we owe them so much <3 if you have any questions about these things (or would like to debate me xD) please comment :) #blm #blacklivesmatter #bidenharris2020
