stop giving this attention its fixed Now resolved. I decided to reset Google Chrome's data by renaming the Default folder. It's running smoother now and I didn't lose anything of value thanks to both my account sync and back-ups. Comments on this project are disabled now.
Any Google Chrome users viewing this? Continue reading if you are. (otherwise go annoy someone else, i already feel angry enough right now.) Google Chrome refuses to work. After a few minutes, it freezes. Wouldn't be a bad thing IF MY USUAL METHODS FOR FIXING THIS ISSUE WORKED. THEY DON'T. What I usually do is shut down my PC and turn it back on. Chrome works normally afterwards, but that doesn't work anymore. It always freezes some minutes after I open it. Even more annoyingly enough, I can only close it after I get the not-responding prompt. Task manager and alt+4 don't work. Technical information if needed (I might provide more): Google Chrome Version 85.0.4183.102 Windows 10 OS, Version 1909 I know this issue is not associated with: - Viruses, my PC is currently safe - PC updates, it updated recently and Chrome has been working fine up to this point - PC specs, they're not horrible and if they were, I would've made this kind of project long ago - Wifi, Chrome works as it should before freezing and other browsers work normally - Space, I already cleared a lot of data from Chrome and my PC is nowhere near max storage (2.07 TB unused out of 2.72 TB) Please give advice ASAP. I'm temporarily using Firefox, but I don't plan to permanently switch to that. This forsaken issue will heavily impact what I can do both on Scratch and other things outside here as Chrome is my preferred browser. And please, no joking in the comments or anything. I know humor can be a coping method but I'm not in the mood for it right now.
