Their father ran a hotel (I haven’t decided what it’s called yet :p) in the 1900s (its still that timeline). Alice was supposed to inherit the hotel after her father retired. Everyone loved Alice. She helped all the guests, baked them sweets, even, but Martha went by unnoticed. Martha was strangely fond of fire. Any heat, really. On cold winter nights, she would curl up and sleep on the couch. But some people disgusted Martha.The only times people saw her, they would only say a small “Hello,” and walk off. On Alice’s birthday, Martha had had enough. She was sitting a room away from the dining hall, furious after an argument with her sister. She spied a pack of matches next to a candle. Without thinking, she grabbed and light it. A few hours later the hotel burned to the ground. The intire family perished.
