It is the community that has done everything wrong. Remember scratch is a coding website, not a fame website. Fame is an ugly word used for "follows," and "views" etc. A follow is when someone likes your projects and clicks a button. a love and fave are when someone liked a project so they clicked a button. Advertising is a common thing in scratch nowadays. If you advertise, stop. Advertising is a waste of time as no one will see the project, but it will just fill up the person's messages and is annoying. If you still want to advertise go to one of those "add em all" studios or advertising studios. The next one is f4f. If you don't know what f4f is, its "follow for follow." If you do this you aren't earning any real followers but you are just annoying. The followers that you get from f4f don't care about you so I don't see why you would do that. One thing in common of all of these scratch problems is fame. I know everyone including me wants to be like the one and only @griffpatch. Think about it, he does no f4f, he never advertises, and he is that popular?! Well, it came from hard work, and hard work is when you deserve to have fame.
