Description

Arrow Keys to Move, Space to jump Why, of COURSE I'm going to turn this into a full game! I've only let people down on this, like what, over 30 times...Anyways, I'm going to re-do a few things and am obviously going to compress the UI to one sprite because otherwise it's too messy. The only graphics that are subject to change are the backdrop(crappy level I slapped together) and maybe the character if decided to use pre-rendered sprites. Also need to rework the collision and perhaps will make it a more accurate isometric 3D engine. Project is free to use as long as you give credit! The only issues with it is you will have trouble with the player going behind objects...If avoided you'll be fine. Development Background ========================= So... A long time ago I had attempted creating a Lego game, and only one prototype of that engine still exists on my page. (A Lord of the rings one I couldn't bring myself to destroy...) Anyways, I had given up on the idea for a long time since Scratch is clearly not made for 3D graphics...recently, I found out that Traveler's Tales Games and Tall Tale Games are two separate companies and I am very stupid... but, it occurred to me that TT games has made the Lego games since 2005, and looking deeper I found the first Lego game SPECIFICALLY BY THEM (First Lego game was Lego Fun To Build) Lego Star Wars...It's the same game engine used for Lego games since... *_* ...BUT, there was a GBA port to it...;)...GBA's can't really run 3D games, so most ports to it (taking Mario Tennis as an example) had to be, uh, redone...more so 2.5D engines had to be used, and I found what a Lego game could be replicated as on Scratch... Here's what the GBA port looked like and I SOOO can replicate it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10rqUmkiav0 Credits ========================= Lego Digital Designer for Modeling pre-rendered assets NES font ripped by EWARS_2 from Super Mario Bros. by Nintendo EWARS_2 for Isometric Lego Guy model
