==== How to Use ===== It may look complicated (and it pretty much is) but as you play with it more, you'll get used to it... > Place track points: Click or Press ' > Delete track points: Press / while hovering over a point > Erase entire track: Press \ > Next basin: Press ] or press ` > Previous basin: Press [ > Increase wind speed: >> By 5: Press Up Arrow >> By 25: Press Up Arrow while holding . > Decrease wind speed: >> By 5: Press Down Arrow >> By 25: Press Down Arrow while holding . > Direct windspeed (will round to the nearest five): Press , > Tropical low: Press L > Subtropical low: Press U > Remnant low: Press R > Tropical cyclone: Press T > Subtropical cyclone: Press B > Extratropical cyclone: Press X > Depression (30 mph): Press D > Storm (40 mph): Press S > Category 1 (75 mph): Press 1 > Category 2 (100 mph): Press 2 > Category 3 (115 mph): Press 3 > Category 4 (130 mph): Press 4 > Category 5 (160 mph): Press 5 > Hypercane (500 mph): Press Y > Place landfall: Press F >> I recommend that you place on the track. There will be no point otherwise. > Delete landfall: Press ; or press / while hovering over a landfall > Toggle simulation: Press SPACEBAR (only works if you have two or more track points) > Change cyclonic rotation: Press = > Change simulation start time: Press P > Toggle track: Press Q while in simulation
===== Description ===== Want to make your own tracks? You could use monsoonjr99's TC maker here: https://monsoonjr99.github.io/experiments/HypoTCTrackMaker/ But if for some reason you cannot use it (bad "potato" computer, school computer that blocks websites, etc.), then this is an alternative that you can use. The controls are similar to that project, with a few changes ofc. If you press SPACEBAR, you can start an animated simulation of your track. ===== Important Note ===== I suggest putting a point after the last point. As of right now, once the simulated system reaches the last point, it immediately ends the simulation. ===== Version History ===== v1.0.4 (August 25, 2021) > (Mostly) Fixed a bug that didn't allow for points to be deleted properly. > Tweaked intensity color gradients again. v1.0.3 (May 20, 2021) > For the start date's "Month?" question, there is a tooltip for putting invalid answers. v1.0.2 (March 4, 2021) > Tweaked around with "gradient intensity" colors. v1.0.1 (February 19, 2021) > Improved basin change controls. v1.0 (February 19, 2021) > Initial Release
