One day a stray cat named Scotch moves in nearby, and after having a fiasco over some leftover food, they end up becoming friends. Everyday Mary and Scotch would meet up by the shore, he would tell her about all the adventures he had been through, and they slowly grew closer. Eventually Mary admits to him about how she wants to leave the beach with him, which he agrees to instantly. A few days later Mary becomes missing, and her body is later found washed up on the shore. She ends up becoming a water spirit, determined to find her murderer and Scotch. Sorry for explaining the story so horribly, I don't write that often.
