Instructions

Please read all instructions if possible! Table of Contents: 1.) Controls 2.) Recommended Hand Position 3.) Description of Game Options 4.) Performance/Lag-Reduction Tips ------------------------------------- 1.) Controls: Arrow keys - Move right, left, crouch (or Jump, depending on your settings, see below) Spacebar - Jump (hold/tap to control height) D key - Dash (press while jumping off a wall to do a dash wall jump!) X key - X Buster, hold to charge Z key - Slash with the Z-Saber, does a combo attack on the ground 2.) Recommended Finger layout: Have your right hand on the arrow keys, and your left hand as follows- Thumb on Space Bar, pinkie on the Z key, ring finger resting on the X key, and the middle finger resting on the D key. That's how I play it (me being the project author). 3.) Settings Descriptions - These are for the settings in the options menu. Flash Effects - These are the sprite flash effects that use brightness settings. I like how they look, but they increase lag sometimes, so you can turn them off with this. Auto-Charge - Helps with control. This is a little rough. You charge up your buster automatically however if you hold the X key it will stop charging until you let go, and the charge effect doesn't always display 100% correctly with this so it may be unclear sometimes when you are in fact fully charged. Double-Tap Dash - If this is set to on, you can dash just by double-tapping the arrow keys in the appropriate direction, so you don't have to use the D key to dash if you don't want. Jump Key - This is a little ambiguous. 1 is use the Space Bar to jump, 2 is use the Up arrow key. Beware, you can only have one button set at a time, not both! 4.) Performance Tips: This game is VERY difficult to play with lag, as it requires fast reflexes and response time. To have the best performance, here are a few tips to reduce lag and increase the frame rate: - Turn off the Flash Effects in "Settings" to see if that helps - Have only have one browser window open with only ONE tab for best performance, no matter what browser you are using whether in Chrome, Firefox, or IE - Play on a computer with a decent CPU and some RAM - Have no background programs running if possible (like other web pages, programs, applications), as these take up RAM which Scratch uses - Try downloading and playing in the Offline Player, or do some hax & stuff and convert my project to an .exe file and play it that way; might improve performance - Try playing in a different browser if the one you're using is giving you lag, you may just get slightly better performance!
