READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sign here if you are against animal mills! Animal mills are horrible places where innocent dogs, cats, and rabbits, are forced to breed over and over again until they can’t anymore. When an animal gets too old to breed the people running the mill either let it die wherever it is, drop it off in a random place and leave it to survive on it’s own, or kill it in a cruel way such as starving it, stabbing it, drowning it, beating it to death, burying it alive, or burning it alive. The animals live in tiny cages that are very dirty with little food and water, and do not receive veterinary care. Animal mills that do give veterinary care use untrained doctors. Baby animals born into animal mills get taken away from their mothers when they still need to drink milk! Soon after the baby animals are shipped off to pet stores. Baby animals are forced to go up to four days without food of water. Many puppies, kittens, and bunnies do not survive. Pet stores get almost all their bunnies, puppies, and kittens from animal mills! Baby animals that don’t get sold are beaten, whipped, and abused in any way, then are either Given to the animal millsold to animal testing labs where scientists test cruel tests on animals trying to solve a problem. The bad thing about animal testing is that they hurt the animals or sometimes even kill them, and if an animal test works on the animal it does not help humans because human bodies work different from the animals. Animal testing subjects get their legs crushed, chopped in half, bathed in chemicals, get holes drilled into their heads, chemicals dropped into their eyes, infected with sickness on purpose, and get shots that are not full of medicine but dangerous chemicals. Even worse it’s not just dogs, cats, and rabbits that are treated this way. There is at least one animal mill for each type of pet ranging from guinea pigs to rats! Here are a couple of stories of the cruelty in animal mills: ~ once a rat mill worker threw a pregnant rat in the trash can and forced her to give birth and raise her baby rats in it. Eventually all of the baby rats died because it was so dirty!!!! ~ one time during a raid on a kitty mill some animal welfare workers discovered a “sick room.” The so called sick room was filled with sick cats left there to die among the dead bodies of other cats. They found out that if a kitten was too sick to sell the people running the mill would throw it into the sick room with no food or water to die! ISN'T THAN HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! ~ in a different kitty mill people discovered a lady was breeding Savanas ( an exotic breed that was made by accident. They are a mix of a domestic cat and a wild cat )!!!!! Savanas were illegal in her state! People also uncovered 5 rabbits that were also part of her animal mill, and a donkey that was in her animal mill too! HOW CAN I STOP ANIMAL MILLS? - When adopting a pet don’t buy it Online or in a Pet Store. Instead check your Local Animal Shelter, The Pound, or The Kennels! Most animal mills sell pets through websites and pet stores. By avoiding them you will help make animal mills run out of business!!!!!!! - If you are getting a pet from a breeder check that the breeder is reliable and they care for their animals properly. HOW CAN I TELL IF I AM BUYING FROM AN ANIMAL MILL? • If the breeder will not let you see the animal’s parents or the conditions that their animals live in. • try to research about what kind of care the animal you are buying needs and how old a baby animal of that kind needs to be before being taken away from it’s mother then ask the breeder questions about the care of their animals and how old the animals are when they are taken away from their parents. If the breeder’s answers seem like evidence that they are treating their animals improperly, it seems like they don’t know how to take care of your animals’s breed, or their baby animals are taken away from their parents too young then you are likely buying from an animal mill. • Sometimes animal mills trick you by showing you younger healthier photos of the animal you are buying when really the animal you are buying has social, medical, and mental problems. To avoid this ask if you can see the actual animal. If the breeder does not let you than it’s probably best to not buy from them. WE CANNOT LET THE POOR ANIMALS DIE ANY LONGER.
