I feel like so many people see me as weak just because of my gender. But nobody /is/ a stereotype. We are all more than just a gender, just the hairstyle or the clothes you wear, the sports you do... You can love dresses and still rock at karate. You can be a warrior and still be a friend. Shucks, you can be tough and still be crazy emotional. You can do you the way only you can. I think the way that people see us is reflecting on the way we are shown. Jasmine, as thin as a pencil, is the epitome of "beautiful". Repunzel, who couldn't save herself without someone clambering up her hair, is the girl's version of "brave." I can save myself from the tower without your help, thanks. I don't care if I'm skinny as a piece of paper, or if I'm prettier than a piece of art. I care that I am good, and smart, and strong. If all you see is who I am outside . . . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀then you don't see me at all. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Credits • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Music "Girl On Fire" by Alicia Keys Inspiration from the book "Watch Us Rise" by Renée Watson and Ellen Hagan
