Welcome to TAC Week 2: Basics of animation! This should be a review for you all, but it's important that these are mastered. The fundamentals are the most important things you could possibly learn to improve your animation! VIDEO MATERIAL https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/uDqjIdI4bF4 OR https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/8J39SslgJsQ (The first option is for newer animators who don't have much experience with the 12 principles, and the second is for more advanced animators who understand or mostly understand them. You can watch both, but it is NOT required. If you choose to watch both, check out Alan Becker's first, as it covers the more basic principles.) Breaking up the work: DAY 1: Watch the material. Start preparing for your animations. DAYS 2-7: Work on the animations! As before, you shouldn't be spending any more than half an hour a day on this course. Remember that none of these animations are meant to be "pretty", I'm looking purely for understanding of the concepts. A simple sketch works as long as it shows movement and what you are being graded on. If it's taking you too long, try shortening each animation or avoiding lining or coloring them. I would much rather see a smooth sketch than a choppy clean animation.
