Background info: Oceana was actually born near the Ocean, not in the Fall Society. Her whole family was family of black leopards, but her father died of a heart attack, though after they were brought to the Society, and her mother died giving birth to her. Since black leopards are incredibly rare, there were only one or two of them in the society, including Oceana, but since black leopards are more intimidating than regular leopards and snow leopards, whenever Oceana went to treat a pup or newborn, they would shy away. Because of this, Oceana had almost no self confidence. Eventually, the pups and newborns warmed up to her, and she gained her self confidence again. :D
