Instructions

aMAZEingly good fun (3.0) Hit Space-Key (or Green Flag) to Start. Flag resets the Best results for the 13 stored mazes to my best results. [Make] - Follows Arrow (Key|Button)s to create a Maze on a green background. 1st time (or 1st time after Z-Key [Undo] hit), you go off a stage edge marks the end point, then [Made] - can be clicked when you've completed it, then [Play] - to start playing using Arrow (Key|Button)s, or [Save It] - prepares image for saving as stageNnn.png [Load] - pick a random maze to play from those stored. [Pick] - lets you scroll through the stored mazes, using [Next] - then you [Pick] the one you want to [Play]. [Reset] - sets the maze being played back to the start. When [Make]ing a maze and before clicking [Made], the Z-Key [Undo] undoes the previous move. It can also be used to reset the end point if you think it's in the wrong spot. You can draw and traverse mazes in 3 different Sizes: [1] - Complex (track & walls are as small as practical) [2] - Moderate (track & internal walls are twice size 1) [3] - Simple (track & internal walls are 3 times size 1) The format of the backdrop names of the stored mazes is stageNnn (where N is its Size, nn is a 1 or 2 digit #). When a maze is made with [Make] you can [Play] it as is. If you want to add your maze permanently to the stored mazes, you must save it as stageNnn.png. [Save It] prepares the stage correctly for such saving. You have to hit the S-key (or click on the Red End Spot) to tell it when you've saved it. To upload your saved maze to my original set, add it as a new backdrop from the saved stageNnn.png file. Then you'll need to edit the code in the "List Saved Mazes" custom block (in Ball sprite) to "add stageNnn to mazes". And then you'll need to click the Green Flag to reload the Lists "mazes" and "least moves" (which for your newly added maze will be set to zero unless you add your best score for it). Almost all of the original 13 stored mazes have multiple solutions, so the aim is to find the best solution. I had heaps of fun writing the code & even more fun [Make]ing and [Play]ing the mazes I created. I hope you have fun with it too. And for a bit of extra fun 5 of my mazes have my initials hidden in them somewhere. FYI - my best scores (see if you can match or better them) for my 13 original stored mazes are: 10-150, 11-181, 12-214, 13-168, 130-197, 14-361, 20-69, 21-82, 22-66, 23-84, 30-53, 31-58 & 32-56. Mazes 14, 23 & 32 were made with this 3.0 version of the project, while all the others were made with its 2.0 predecessor. Regards Greg
