Advance onwards, or something, I dunno So I decided to pull out some ink pens that my (let's just say art) teacher gifted to me about 2 years ago. It came in a pack of 4 pens, and while the medium pen was dried out, the brush, fine, and superfine pens were still working perfectly, so I figured I'd try some traditional art with them, and use this as a chance to experiment with hatching and other shading styles! 1) A picture of the entire page (ignore the blank spot in the corner, that's something else that I covered up). Of course, the quality is awful, so I've got close-ups of each individual sketch up ahead. 2) This started out as me just wanting to draw spiky anime hair, but then I forgot how to draw spiky anime hair, and then it just somehow turned into a Saiki K. character for no reason 3) Malcolm, but without his hat, and also, he has eyes! I think I'll stick with these frameless glasses now, because the white-rimmed ones in his original design were a pain to draw... -_- 4) Miriam! Probably my favorite of this batch of drawings, I just love her so much- 5) Metro! I figured that his design would be the best suited for this ink pen format. However, in doing so, I failed to notice that I unintentionally gave him an "OwO" face... whoops? (you cannot unsee it now) 6) Michiru from BNA! I think her mask is a little bit too dark, but otherwise, I like how she turned out! (And in case you're wondering, Shirou's actually my favorite character, but I wanted to draw at least one female human, and Michiru's design is also just really fun >:D 7) An attempt at drawing Strike and Rattle with this weird, circular scale pattern that I'm definitely not doing ever again! They tired me out so much that I forgot to do shading anywhere else on the picture, but honestly, I don't care at this point- 8) An accurate portrayal of how I felt after finishing all of these drawings So yeah, this was a lot of fun to do, and I really enjoyed experimenting with a different style of art than I'm used to! Who knows, maybe I might do more of this type of art in the future!
