The North Island Giant Moa was one of the tallest, largest birds ever. Some individuals stood fourteen feet high. It lived on New Zealand. When people came a few thousand years ago, they were wiped out due to invasive animals, hunting, and loss of habitat. This Moa is just one of many flightless birds to go extinct.
