I receive a lot of questions about my animation process and so I thought I would share a project to show an example. Whenever I make an animation, I always start by doing the underlying programming first. I find the beat of the music and set up code to more easily allow myself to add in artwork later. In this example, I've added in some visual placeholders as a way to test that I've properly found the beat of the song. You can see when the bass hits, the circle sprite pulses on the screen. When the song says "hush" or "shh", etc., I've added in placeholders to show me when this happens. After I have figured out the pace of the song and programmed it to do things at the specific beats I want, I then go in and add artwork (which is what I ultimately end up sharing with the community). Most of what is in this project gets replaced by the time I'm done with the finished animation but the bones of what I've created here can still be found. You can see the finalized animation to this specific example here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/415956632/ I added some comments to the code to explain my thought process behind some of the things in this project. I hope this helps explain a bit of my animation process ^.^ Please do share your own processes for creating animations on Scratch. I would love to learn from you! Music: "Cradles" by Sub Urban
