Word Herds! This is a challenge you can do against others not from your cabin to earn points. Before I explain I am going to go into some frequently asked questions: Q: How long is this open for? A: It opens today, and you can to this until camp ends on August 31st! Q: How many can I do per 24 hours? A: You can do as many as you like but. If you win one, then let's say the same day you win a second one, you have to wait 24 hours to play again. So 2 wins per day, but if you keep losing, 1. Don't be discouraged! And 2. You can keep playing until you get 2 wins! Q: How many points do I earn when I win? A: When you win a word herd comment in the main cabin, and your cabin will get 20 points! Q: If I lose a word herd do I lose points? A: No not at all! This is a change to win points, not lose them! Q: Can I battle someone from my own cabin? A: No, that is not allowed because if you do your cabin will gain points no matter what. Q: How do I play? A: Let's get into that! So how to play, You can comment something like this; 'Hi! i'm from the mythology cabin and i'm ready for a word herd! My WPM is 35.' Basically all you need to include in the comment is your cabin and your WPM. Once someone sees your comment and wants to play they just reply with something like this; 'Hey! I will play with you! I'm from the fanfiction cabin and my WPM is 40. How long do you want to play for?' In this comment you need to include the following things: Your cabin, your WPM, telling them you want to play, and asking for how long. Now some of you might be wondering how long do these go for? Well you can chose a time anywhere between 1-5 minutes. After you pick a time and both agree you set a timer and write for that many minutes at the end of the time you count your words and tell each other your word count for the time. Whoever wins comments in the main cabin. When you comment you need to include; Your cabin, and saying that you won a word herd.
