Instructions

V.1 of CRQ Testing. Controls and Known Bugs are here! Not everything is completely functional yet. Controls AD/Left & Right arrow keys: Move Space: Jump; hold Space to glide (You can see the distance both actions cover in this project) W/Up arrow key: Look up (partly functional) S/Down arrow key: Look down (partly functional) Z: Interact if you're close to an object or NPC X: Open/Close Map (not scripted yet) Known Bugs If you have any solutions to these, let me know. I haven't coded games in a while so all of these are my fault lol - Weird collision when on the higher platform, temp. fix is to jump again - Animations sometimes override another (like running when jumping or gliding) - Run animation doesn't cancel when you stop moving - Chibi Ranai sometimes clips into the ground, temp. fix is to jump again to fix position - Animation for the Interact prompt doesn't work - will have simple show/hide scripts until resolved

Description

Digimon belongs to Bandai Namco. Dragalia Lost belongs to Cygames and Nintendo. This was a project I started sometime this summer. I didn't develop it that much until this month, where our computer science class has a module for making a game/animation on Scratch. I figured I should pick this concept up again! Should I make this an actual game, it's going to have a weird premise. Chibi's Ranai Quest is a 2D scrolling platformer where the objective is to complete all quests in a level, rather than just reach one end of the level. It's half-focused on platforming, half-focused on a little story each level has, and you play Chibi Ranai who must unravel it. You can look inside and find a concept I have for the Tutorial Level! There's a map concept, and even planned dialogue and tutorial messages. There's also a lot of disconnected code blocks now. Yay, messy code interfaces I'm too lazy to clean up. Let me know what you think of this concept, and if you have any solutions to the Known Bugs I've listed. I'll work on refining the controls and start scripting this concept's other features in the meantime.
