This was the first project I've ever made on my main account @skyistumbling, I just re-uploaded it here. - - - - - - - - - - THE NEW VERSION : https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/371861052/ - - - - - - - - - - This is a vastly improved and overhauled mod of @HaloMinecraftDude 's D7 Evolved Engine, a enhancement of @daves777 's Original D7 Engine. This was made in the span of a 5-7 days, working in small increments of spare time. JOIN D7 STUDIOS: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/26130823 Build Version: Alpha 0.15 FIRST MINOR UPDATE: Alpha 0.15 - Added SFX for when you aim down your gun. - Added anti-copyright protection, the project will lag to the point of crashing if the intro is changed in any way. - Added more Engine Icons to pretty up the workspace. -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -     -           Changes from Original Engine ============= - Gameplay - ============= • Replaced the old aiming system with a Free-Aim System, that being said; the crosshair is turned off by default now. You will have to guess where you are aiming by the rotation of your weapon, don't worry it's quite easy. You also now have Hitmarkers that are located exactly where you're aiming. • You can now move sideways, but you also can change back to the old method of moving over at the settings menu. • You can now look up and down, our current system is just simply changing the Y Position and has no kind of perspective; so we plan to upgrade it in the near-future. • To sprint now you have to press the W key twice, this too can be changed over at the settings menu. • Added Camera Shake, the camera will shake whenever you land, jump, go prone, etc. • Added Aim Down Sights Animations • Upgraded the R-201 animations. ============= - Graphics - ============= • Reworked the Ground to render in Pen and to be more pleasing to the eye, it now supports Full 3D Movement, Fog, Fade-Offs, and Dynamic Lighting. • Added Shader Overlays, vastly improves the Colors of everything by applying a gradient/blob shaded image with transparency over the final render; with no performance hit at all. • Remade the Sky to use more realistic colors. • Added Dynamic Lighting for whenever you fire your weapon. • All objects will now properly go off-screen more consistently. • Overhauled the Layering System to now use @griffpatch 's Sprite Depth Sorting algorithm.       https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/307388424/ It is now near impossible for a object to glitch thru another, PRAISE THE SUN. • Tweaked some Time Of Day: Light Level values to go hand in hand with the new graphics/style. ===== - Audio and Atmosphere - ===== • Compressed down all the RegionGeneralData sprites into one sprite simply called "Ambiance", you can still have region specific sounds don't worry. • Also Compressed down all the RegionMusicData sprites into one called "Music", it comes with all the audio settings you can tweak in one neat package of a block. It also still has region specific sounds. • Overhauled and replaced all of the ambient audio with our own studio recordings. • All ambient sounds now loop perfectly and seamlessly. • Background sound effects and music now have side-chaining. • Music Setting disabled by default, you can easily change this back to be on over in the settings menu; we just wanted to give more focus on the environment. ============= - User Interface - ============= • Completely reworked the Engine Intro to a more stylized and modern look. • Added a Originally-Made Settings menu, you can now change everything from rendering options to how you move and what keys you use. • Added sound effects for UI actions • Added a Blur Layer to the Main Menu, if you want to change the name you will have to blur your own image. • Made all UI Functions into two sprites to remove all the clutter, all Main Menu UI is in the corespondent sprite etc. • Compressed all 3D objects into a singular sprite called "Objects", there is a tutorial in the " - Guides - " Sprite on how to use it efficiently. But now unfortunately @HaloMinecraftdude 's concepts of Worldspace, Major and Minor Props, Loaded Cells, and etc have been cut out to reduce overall clutter. ============= - Final Credits - ============= If you want to use our engine or take an aspect of it you must provide credit. All audio files (excluding Music) are made by us for free, you can use these wherever you like; no credit needed. @HaloMinecraftdude , you are free to use any assets from our upgrade in your Evolved engine; just give us some credit.
