Karina Laminiski is the demigod daughter of the Greek goddess Irene, goddess of peace. Karina had a hard life in the mortal world. Like most demigods in The Last of the Myths, she found her way to the Pantheon in Rome, as well as the secret home of demigods of all mythologies. Karina never had any real friends. Her first friend, Gavin, tried to kill her. Her second friend, Alexandria, abandoned her. And on top of all that, her father died when she was six. She sat alone on her bunk in the Greek section of the sleeping quarters most days. She learned to block out the world and live however she wanted. So she didn't exactly jump at the idea of a quest.
